isn't there an issue with these in SA regarding the transfer of algae and hyacinths from one dam/ river to another?

So you can take off from your airfield, land on the vaal, catch a fish and fly back to your airfield then wash off the duck to get rid of the algae and hyacinths before your next flip to Hartees vhpy

I would love to land on the water ##

Very lekka...are there couple pics of the real thing :?:

The hyacinth issue was a bit one in the past, but these days with the bass-boaters and everyone doing pretty much what they like it seems to have fallen away a bit. I seem to recall that there was a weed-eating bug imported which removed most of the problem. I think there are a few amphibians flying up on the highveld, and they got registered without any complaint from DWFF, so maybe its not an issue any longer. We were certainly considering amphibians for monitoring provincial nature reserves when I was with the department, but although I tried to follow up on this issue no-one seemed to know what I was talking about. Anyway at the coast its not a problem with the salt water.

There is no law, there was never a law, banning amphibs. Search Avcom and you will find my detailed post of about 5 years ago.
The hyacinth threat made the, then Department of Water Affairs and Forestry issue, an advisory, but you will find that it was never passed as law.
