2X Basic 4000 (Quicksilver MXII)
Buy one, get one free!!!
R30 000 o.b.o.
ZS-VPP, ZS-WCS
Background: I recently bought two Basic 4000 projects, only to find out, when submitting the registration paperwork, that foreigners are not able to register ZS aircraft in their name! That makes things a bit complicated for me, so, before putting more time in, I’m putting them up for sale. Both aircraft are mostly disassembled and located in White River, Mpumalanga. There are some parts that will need to be sourced in order to complete both aircraft.
This would be great for someone wanting to get into aviation with low cost, or someone wanting to rebuild and then sell, or someone just wanting lots of spares .
I will try to list what comes with but please contact me for more details. Email works best for me: av8rgroot@gmail.com
- Two Rotax 503 engines, with root tubes, engine mounts, propeller drive shafts, pulleys and propellers.
- Two airframes. One tail section and wings assembled and with cloth in good condition.
- Hardware and cables.
- Maintenance manuals and logbooks.
- There are a few upgrades that were done. One set of seats is wider. There are two long range fuel tanks that install on the back of the seats.
- There is quite a bit extra tubing, including a couple of extra wing spar tubes.
Picture is of ZS-WCS several years ago.

Re: 2X Basic 4000 (Quicksilver MXII)
Hi
I am interested but the price seems high for a non-flying aircraft. A complete airworthy 4000 was just sold for R18 000.
Are you negotiable?
Thanks

Sold already. Sorry to hear about crashing yours. Glad you're alive, and looking to rebuild. Good luck. BTW, you can find almost anything for these aircraft on http://www.air-techinc.com/. Maybe you can order the spares you need through Hennie at Infinity Aviation 011 394 2262.
