Could you explain why did you say the 3rd wheel have to be in this place ?

PS : after "EDIT", I thought you meant that some people assembled this tail wheel baddly ...

when building a aircraft there are a some rules you live by safety , strength , weight , drag and looks
a tail wheel is just as safe as a nose wheel when you fly it right ( groundloops are not the wheels fault )
the tailwheel is stronger than the nosewheel setup
the tailwheel is lighter
and it has less drag
and for the looks it speaks for it's self

All top and bottem falls rips installed. All wood parts will be sealed with epoxy resin(Resin: LR20 Hardener: SLC60)

Just as a matter of interest... (I am not sure if this can or should be applied to full size aircraft!)

When covering balsa with fiber glass, spraying them with hair spray first prevents the epoxy from sinking into the wood. This dramatically reduces the amount of epoxy required, and the final weight of the plane.

Of course, when covering models, the epoxy is not structural, so the loss of strength from not penetrating the wood is not significant. In the case of a full size aircraft it could be a huge problem though!

For interest.....
It CAN be done, this is not a balsa model airie. Have you tryed it on birge ply wood?

I used it on my kitfox II, 1kg was more than enough to seal all wood parts.

Are you referring to the hair spray trick? So it can be used for full size construction too?

Oi! I did say it probably shouldn't be used for full size... (It is a great trick for models though  )
