New Airplane Seen

Postby Sukkelaar » Fri Nov 21, 2008 4:09 pm

Heard of a new airie in air for first time yesterday over FASI.

Inside a silver blik airie with 914 rotax was Mike Blythe and Dave stock ( class 1 test pilot)

I hear very good looking machine at a very good price, and should soon be available in kit or built.

Only heard this

Steven Roe is also involved with it. Basically designed for the LSA class. They are talking kits of around R160k odd. All metal.
Nuts about Cheetahs. Petit is the place.

Kit pricing is being finalised. The modifications suggested by the test pilot have already been done with noticable positive impact on flying. Some fine-tuning of handling characteristics is currently under way. Performance testing to follow soon...

Any info on how the kit is put together, pre-punched holes, solid or pop rivets hours to build,

usefull load engine type prop type

Some performance specs as they become available.

And then the BIGGIE the PRICE of the kit.

Kind regards,

Gunter Rostek.

Pre-punched holes, almost no drilling. Avex pop rivets, except on main spar. However, main spars will be supplied with all solid riveting complete.

To give you and idea of build hours: Steve and I assembled an entire wing (including main spar) in two days.

Usefull load of production model still to be determined. Should fly well with any of the Rotax 4-strokes (development prototype has the 914 - we need to know that she can handle all that power!). Prop is ground adjustable Neuform 3-blade (69").

Price and performance to follow soon...

The prototype was developed and built in Germiston, right next to Aviation Engines and Accessories (Rotax dealership).
