Still looking for a name ? Barak. (as in Obama). Register the name while you CAN. Yes, you can. Easy on the tongue, and in the news for at least the next 8 years.

Will sell well internationally. Represents change, freshness, hope, elegance, youth, sex appeal, beauty, lightness and technology. Plus it originated from Africa, which it does.

Nice one, Kloot Piloot, but a name has already been chosen.

She is now known as the Sling - see the cover story in February's SA Flyer.
No wonder she flies like a dream, she's built with one!

Who shot the president ... ?

Slingshot the president ! Sting did not shoot the president.

I agree, Sling does not match the grace of the aerrie.

Bliksem would have been 1st prize in the international arena.

But, ... it is not my plane !

Congratulations anyway on the baptism !

I reckon it can still be called a nick name: Bliksemse Sling Barak ! (**)

When ATC asks what aircraft type, have some Capie use his broad "brei' accent. :)

i also dont like the name 'Sling' - agree with George - too close to Sting - but who am I to say - Its not like I have the moolah to stand in line for one :(

Lovely plane though! Loved the write-up in SAF vhpy - cant wait for more info.

PS I like the cowling - something unique

I don't think she flew on Saturday, when I saw her in the morning there was still LOTS to do with wires hanging out and clekos to be replaced by rivets...
