When you fly a taily it needs to be build 140% to compensate for all the ground loops to come :lol: :lol: :lol:

As promised, yesterday, 05/09/09, ZU-FCD took to the blue skies for the first time! Cyril Manser was in the left seat for the occasion, and came back all smiles, stating that she flies as advertised, with no vices or problems. The left hand EGT is the only "niggle", running as the top of the green arc. Otherwise FCD was purring away like only a ROTAX 912S can do. Now the final finishing can start, together with the conversion (I haven't flown tailies for the last 14 years), and obviously the completion of the test flight phase. Some pictures.....

And then Cyril came back............. I joined Cyril for a quick "round the houses" after the initial flight: WHAT A PLEASURE!!!!!!!!!!!

Later the afternoon the final decals were added, you must agree, a pretty site. (before you ask, 7177 was the number of my solo Harvard)
