Stay away from aluminium on anything that even remotely vibrates, It will fail

I am seeing that and replacing many brackets.
And the Aircraft has only done 80 Hours. (**) (**)

I replaced my radiator and oil cooler brackets with steel tubing at a slight weight disadvantage. Well worth it, done 50 hours since and not a single fracture.

Also moved the mount point off the engine on to the airframe, to reduce vibration there as well

here you go, unfortunately taken with a cell phone. The Engine is attached to a large o-shaped mount. This mount is connected to the firewall side engine mount via rubber couplings and bolts. All the engine vibrations are absorbed by these rubber mounts. The Radiator and oil cooler are supported by a frame that surrounds the engine (but does not touch it, and attaches to the firewall side of the engine mount using hose clamps

Forgot to add the Pic of the Breather i replaced a normal plastic pipe hanging off the side to a filtered breather.

Made some Mods and Fitted the Cowling again.

Ok So it will take two people to put it on but it will fit.

Can anyone see what is wrong with this photo :?: :?: :oops:

It took me longet to try and get it out there then it did to put the whole cowling on.
Eventually got it out, but there was a lot of swearing and cursing going on.

Gave the AP a Call and he will come and Inspect next week, then it is just a home i need and then the Conversion starts.

The Final Dash was collected - not 100% finished but enough to test and fit all the thingys and then it will be Varnished and finished off.
