I measured the elevator today to see if this is also bigger than the standard Kitfox 2, because my reasoning was this ; " Why only increase the rudder, when a bigger elevator also assists in better 3 point landings, and better pitch control at slower speeds ? " Well-well the elevator IS bigger than the standard one (^^) (^^) Ek dink hierdie Foxie gaan baie lekker vlieg ^ ^ ^

Hi J

Groete
Hans

We have stripped Foxie back to kit-form, I have decided to sell this Foxie once she is completed. That being said, she will in all reality be a brand new Kitfox and will not have the Round Cowls , but rather a very sexy cowl set-up, and a paint scheme to match (^^)
Will post some foties later.

Frame and tail feathers sanded down , ribs in tail feathers properly fixed in place with Sparbond 345. The frame and tail group will be made white as this makes it easy to spot any possible corrosion in future. All controls will be made bright red, this makes things a lot easier at annual inspection time
I will post some before and after pics once all has been painted.

Ok, here are 2 pics of all the controls and other small bits painted red...... the frame will follow shortly. I have been thinking to do the frame in a light gray colour instead of white.

Here are some updated pics of what I am busy with after work hours on the Kitfox. The dorsal area leading to the vertical stabiliser is a bit "flat" on the early Kitfox models so I made a plan with some 6061 alu tubing held in place with Sparbond 340. The cowls were a bit of a conundrum, the early Kitfox one could have with the "Round Cowls" or the conventional cowls, of which I had no sample. Next best thing...........I am rebuilding a Mohawk (Avid copy) for a friend, his cowls are a nice shape but in badly cracked form, ssssssoooooo.....make a plug out of them , draw a mold, and make new ones....  and a set for the Foxie vhpy
More updates to follow as we progress.
Cheers
J

My Kitfox2 se 582 was regop en hy het radial cowl gehaat.
