Aquilla 1 Frame Rebuild ZU-???

Hi All

Just some pic s on Aquilla frame Rebuild also need spares for Aquilla 1 will add as i go along if you have some laying around give a shout new or used

Ek sal seker terug wees by die middle van june is besig met Aquilla en Cosmos met jenya vlerk het weer toets gevlieg en is weer reg om te vlieg hoe lyk die hanger spasie? .?

Yes fitted my wing today and hope to do high speed runway testing for a hour asp and then to the skies for me

Hi Reuben,

Your trike is looking great. Very neat and tidy.

Just an observation ......
What grade of bolts did you use on the undercart? I'm not sure that common hardware variety grade 8.8 bolts are suitable. They may be, but rather ask your AP to check them.
The purists will tell you that the bolts are also too long.

8.8 grade bolt are more than strong enough. Just make sure that the thread is not "inside" whatever you are bolting together. The grip length, ie, the shank of the bolt measured from underneath the head of the bolt, to where the thread starts, MUST portrude slightly out of what you are bolting together, so add a washer or two. OK, the threaded part is always hopelessly to long, and looks crappy, but if you cut it shorter, PAINT tha damn thing, otherwise it will rust. Your workmanship looks very neat!! (^^)
