Quick update on the build, been making what seems like thousands of smaller parts, rudder pedals done, been waiting for more material to arrive from Zenith so I can start the wing spars, fuselage etc. Crate left zenith yesterday weighing in at 150kg, air freight bill was ouch!!, but at least it will be here in about a week, crate heading towards O'Hara by truck then onto a plane for a round trip to Zims.
Whats in this crate would even get father xmas excited,so if he doesnt make to zims over xmas due to "sanctions" I am sorted already.
Will post a few photos of more parts made soon.

Update
Have now finished drilling all the longerons/skins for the rear fuselage section.Deburring all done so next is primer at all joints and begin rear fuselage assembly. There is a huge amount of measuring done on this section so I really hope it all comes together as planned.
Just dismantled the existing work bench and will upgrade it to a wider bench surface so the fuselage and wings can be assembled on the bench.
Will post some pics once I have some pieces joined together, trail assembly with clecos then riveting.

The 701 build took a big step last nite. Finished riveting the bottom rear fuselage skin, now to mount the side and top skins. Then we have half a plane, well maybe half.
Before I do any more riveting I need to get the air riveter working, my hands have had enough of hand riveting now.

The rear fuselage section has now been moved onto the veranda for final riveting. The landord wasnt keen to fit a bigger french door in the lounge
.
Riveting is now under way, thank goodness for pneumatic rivet guns.Really satisfying to be able to assemble and eveything fits as it should do.
I will post a photo this weekend
