Windlass upgrade.

Postby Slider » Fri Sep 25, 2009 8:24 am

I decided to upgrade my Windlass to something better looking and maybe faster, so I ordered a Fairing and Pylon fairing, from Solo Wings. This is the pictures as she looks like at this stage with the “Wind 2000” wing. ONE day, I will look at a stronger engine, like a BMW 1100…………..

Wow, that really looks good! Did you change the pod(etjietjie) aswell?
I flew and saw the halo around my shadow on the cotton clouds, and I knew that this must be heaven.

hi, do yourself a favour and replace those 'hanging' saddlebags with the new sturdy solowings ones....if will realy make your trike look great! I think it is about R1k per bag.

Nice project.....how much for the pod? And how much for fairings?

Happy flying!

Hi guys,

Sorry for the late response. It’s a Solo wings Fairing and strut fairings from an Aquila, and it was around R8000 for everything The pod is still as I bought the trike many moons ago. She looks nice but I don’t find any improvement on performance, and bit warmer. She looks stunning, (for a classic) but as you say "those saddle bags MUST go". I even "Dropped" the Spats over the wheels with around 1 inch, so it doens give you that 4x4 feeling looking at them

Cheers
