So here is what the wing looks like after it has been stictched and tapes are on. Also some pic's of the Helmut i am rewiring with the Kit Paul sent me for the head set. So much work so little time in one day

Here is a pic of the helmut that was thrown out by someone. I tried to put an other comms unit in but it was a flop i hope i have better luck this time.

Hi tailspin !

Why did you decide on a vp1? Only one seat !! What is the estimated cost and building time?
I'm still a wannabee at this stage and all info will be appreciated very much!
Do you have any knowledge on the Super koala, the two seater that is?Is it a scratchbuild like the vp, or kit? Must say from the pic's on the net it looks a lot like the bushbaby!

I decided on the VP cos i am a member of the poor pilots Association

i do not have the money to go and buy an aircraft and i would do almost anything to fly.The Single seat option was because i have never done this before and if i make a bugger up i can only kill myself

Also i fly trikes and it has TWO seats this is mine i tell you all mine

The VP's total cost would be about R35K including engine instruments and everything. The super Koala is more like a Kit build if i am not mistaken.

The Koala can be scratch build or bought as a kit from the states. PM me if you would like more details.

35k? sounds very good!
I've seen the website on super koala kits in the states, unfortunately one can buy a fly away at that price locally.Thanx for the info anyway, but i think vp2 or aircamper would be a better option.
Tailspin, what is your estimated building time on the vp 1 ?

I have been building for FOUR YES FOUR years i don't get much chance with work /wife / kiddie / life etc interfearing but i am nearly finished. The whole project can be built in under 6 months it is all upto you as a builder. Alot of my stuff has been scrounged / stolen / borrowed and swopped so the costs depend on you as how high they will be.

Hi All

I know this is not my VP but it is one of the Original 10 Trikes brought into the country in 1985. I have nearly got her finished and am working feverishly to get her done before the end of November

I want to get her finished and then i can finish the VP early next year..
