Hier is kiekie of twee

Looking good Aerosan!
Guys, don't stress too much about the weight of the motor, at the end of the day all it boils down to is a reduced payload. Lightly built Explorers can lift their own weight so you can afford to sacrifice a little payload in return for reliability and affordability.
Of more importance is the CofG and this one will be within limits and slightly nose heavy, all good but just take care of that nose wheel leg!
I have not seen the torque curve for the Subie but if it is good it should deliver the performance.
Looking forward to seing the numbers.

Dit is baie minder as 'n 120kw Jabiro enjin. Groete

Thanks KFA, and I have to agree, you can build it as good as you want but if you dont finish it off nicely, it just looks like a backyard job  I have seen so many aircraft that have so much more potential, but nou ja 99% of the time money gets that blame and if you look on the face of it the extra investment to make it 500% better will cost 0.5% more............ Hi Aerosan,

a Friend off mine fly's a Bushbaby with a Subaru motor, he did a engine mod and had fuel injection installed. I think it develops 115 - 120 hp, a bit nose heavy but fly's beautifully and cruises at 100 mph.

Enjoy and "byt vas", almost finished.

Hi Sanna,

His name is Neels and fly's from Rhino Park, will ask him if I can give you his number. Unfortuanetly I don't know much about his BB and the Subaru motor, only flew a circuit or two with him, I can however tell you about a BB with a 912ULX (95hp)

Hmmm, don't forget to mention the engine failed and the plane ended in the bush......

And then there was the Subie in my Savannah.....

But many guys are happy with them in the USA so it is not all bad vhpy
