A note from Mike below:
Be sure to attend the AGM even if you are not a MISASA member, the topics afterwards are going to be interesting!

Re: The AGM of MISASA (The Microlight and Light Sport Aeroplane Association of South Africa)
OK we are definitely on for the AGM on the 11th October at Microland at 9 am. Hosted by the East Rand Micro Flyers - the acting chairman is Sias Dreyer. They are organizing a fly-in/drive-in breakfast starting at 7.30 until 9 am so we should encourage everyone to either fly in or drive in and join the ERMF for breakfast (everyone must pay for their own breakfast).
We encourage all members and non-members to attend. No one will ask for MISASA membership except during voting.
The AGM will take a max of 1 hour (see agenda), if you can’t attend fill in the proxy form, after which there will be a short talk about:
a) The new organization which has been formed (RAASA - Recreation Aviation Administration South Africa) to handle Authority to Fly renewals and process pilots licences;
b) The progress of the NTCA task team and the regulations (Part 24 and 43) which affect aircraft certification, airworthiness and maintenance; and
c) The new Recreational Pilot License regulations (Part62) which come into effect at the end of this year.
Thanks and regards
Mike
