Annual Inspection

Postby wingover » Fri Nov 19, 2010 9:02 am

I sincerely hope some one can be of assistance here. I bought a trike from a guy. He as previous owner had the Annual inspection done on the 5th month. The person that did the inspection then charged me for the same inspection again. This was not accepted by RASA due to the fact that it was over the 2 week period. That meant, I had to have another inspection done by a nother approved person whom I also had to pay. The second approved person would not sign my trike out due to the hang bolt cable not being up to standard Had to have a new one made up)aswell as 2 bungies had to be replaced. I feel that the person that did the inspection in May did not do it properly and secondly he did definately not do an inpection again after I bought the Trike because he signed the trike out before I even new I was going to by this particular trike, because I only bought it in June. I feel this is very serious because there are lives at stake and secondly this is corrupt. As far as I am concerned this guy's status as an A.P. should be revoked ##

Not good news!

Pilot safety is obviously not a great concern for said inspector!
Most trike problems are caused by the nut that connects the seat to the handlebars!
