I am considering a set up where the radio will select the next frequency (so you dont even have to tune the radio to next channel and you will always Tx on the correct frequency automatically based on GPS position and track, how many times have I made my name gyro by transmitting and then to find out I forgot to select the next Tx channel   ..
now that would be choice!
In fact that is probably possible. What you need is a facility on your GPS to TX radio frequencies which is anyway in its database. I have not studied that part of the GPS as yet but I have done a lot of software GPS related. My Optifuel constantly receives data from the GPS to calculate range. This info would need to go to a microprocessor and your radio also needs a data input to change frequency from the outside world as opposed to panel buttons.
We need here GPS model and Radio model, then download technical manuals.
I consider it a gadget but fun to develop.

yes and if wired correctly can be used as a dynamic brake!

maybe even boost your rotor RPM if you ever find yourself in trouble?

some info on the correct use of safety wire.

http://www.bobmartinco.com/pdf/safety_tying_wire.pdf

here's an extract

HOW TO PROPERLY INSTALL SAFETY WIRE
There are a couple of basic rules to follow when safety wiring something.
They are:
1. If you are safety wiring a nut or bolt FIRST torque the nut or bolt to its proper torque. Where
possible align the holes that are going to be used to safety wire the units in place. BUT DON'T
OVER TORQUE or UNDER TORQUE them to achieve this!
2. After installation the safety wire should be tight! So as not to allow the unit(s) to move.
3. Safety wire should always be installed so as to make the nut or bolt "TIGHTEN" itself when the
safety wire has been installed. That is the safety wire should come around the top of head of the
bolt/nut and back onto the securing unit so that the safety wire PULL is in a tightening
direction!

4. NEVER over stress the safety wire. This weakens it, which could cause it to break under
vibration or load. This is generally caused when you "over wind" the safety wire. Safety wire
should never be nicked, or kinked.
5. When cutting the safety wire always leave 4 to 6 turns after the loop. REMEMBER always bring
the safety wire AROUND the head of the bolt/nut in a tightening direction, in as small a
contour to the bolt/nut as you can get.

use heat resistant grease on those threads when you replace them - won't seize up next time

God has not yet invented a grease that can take 900 degree's or better said I dont have it in my toy shop
http://www.molyslip.com/wp-content/uplo ... -Sheet.pdf

here's an extract from above pdf to help you cope with reading - since your std2 & sums seem to limit your abilities
Molyslip Copaslip is an anti-seize pre-assembly compound for use in any temperature from sub-zero to 1100ºC
(2000ºF). It has extremely high film strength and has been formulated and produced to provide:
• Protection against seizure — even in extreme service conditions
• Ease and economy of labour when assembling and dismantling equipment
• Protection against rust, oxidation and other corrosion, especially with dissimilar metals
you can get at any midas store

Hope us non technical n00bs can also learn from this thread (**)

Pity the pulley shaft cant go straight through to the other side for some extra strength (red line below). I assume the shaft will bump against the main structure and a bigger pulley wont fit between the other pulleys?

Also will the exhaust pipes be coated (Or is it already?) with that magical ceramic chrome looking stuff? Can't believe how well that works. 5 minutes after landing the pipes are ice cold.

Enjoy the waterfront
