The group are on their way to Thuru Lodge near Groblershoop. They have uploaded some moon like lanscape pictures of their trip from Springbok to Augrabies here.

Some made the return trip from Upington home on Friday and some selected for another sleep over. Fortunately everybody returned safe after the trip.
Herewith a few photos of their return trip to the big smoke via the west coast.

Good instructors always speak well about all flying machines.
Bad instructors speak badly about machines they cannot fly.

I still owe you the flight info. Will see what I can get together from data downloaded to the MGL. But this I can say: my Cali can fly over mountains, in gorges, through wind, against the wind, over the sea, with a passenger, without him, with luggage, and she is so stable that I could take pictures while flying. I am very proud of her.
The person who says it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

If you can send me the Enigma.rec file I can get all the info from there. Thx! Let me know if you need help with this.
Looks like the trip was awesome!

I applaud the Auto-Gyro Calidus group for their memorable flight around the country.
What a spectacular adventure and thank you for sharing it with us!
I secretly suspect that the real hero is Ninnie Eloff, since I know how much organising it takes and I know that I could not do it without my wifes ground-arrangement expertise and support.
Well done again to all of you!
Viva Gyro's!

Hey!! Great going guys and galls!! Fantastic trip and cherry on top ... All safe and sound back home. Lovely pics ! Well done to you all and Calidus. The best thing after a trip like this is the great feeling of achievement on touching down at home base. Now what is this unfortunate itch thing I'm feeling in places where one does not scratch in public? Namibia...Bazarutu...okavango... O moer, here we go again ! July is a good time for flying the Northern parts and " flying in" a new gyro...
