All good here in NZ. Its like flying in Teletubby land....endless green hills and lots of water (sea). I miss the beauty of South Africa.
We often fly across large bays and to the many small islands - quite legal here as long as you wear an inflatable life jacket and a PLB is mandatory. Plenty pucker factor!
Minimum height (strictly enforced) is 500 ft agl other than take off and landing and designated radio mandatory low flying areas, so very few wire strikes ever heard of. Touch and goes allowed on vacant beaches.
Bought a new M22 from Butch (carbon body) and brought it to NZ with around 40 hours on.
