VaalDam Airfield?

Postby Skinner » Wed Jan 08, 2014 3:20 pm

Does anyone know about another airfield at the Vaaldam except the Leeukop and Oranjeville strips? I flew in the Deneysville/Oranjeville area recently and on two occasions heard guys at what sounded like "Peninsula or Valencia" Airfield close to Deneysville. They invited me for coffee but I was a bit low on fuel and did not have time to search for the field... :(

Thanks :)

I would also love to get details on any airfield in the Denysville region. Haven't seen anything from the air, nor on Google Earth....

Went looking for the strip last weekend and found it vhpy The surface however looked a bit muddy with all the rain we had so I did not land. Its half way between Deneysville and Oranjeville,
From Google it seems to be about 900m long. Unfortunately no one flying from there that day so i could not get the name. Looks like they have some nice hangers etc, will visit when the surface looks a bit dryer, coords -26.919659, 28.158689

Madman and wacko. Mal mense.

I've landed there before. Mike Skinner from Klip has a spot there and is there most weekends.

Would be great if we do a bit of a pub crawle to the two airfields and get to know the guys.

Hi Giep.

Gaan dit moontlik wees om in te vlieg en bietjie lyn nat te maak?

My seun sal alby sy ouers inruil vir 'n geleentheid om vis te vang.

Groete
