Temporary Hangarage in Polokwane for end July

Postby willywojo » Mon Jul 22, 2013 2:43 pm

Hi All

I'm doing a cross country flight into the Tuli block in Botswana in the second week of August, and am looking to hangar my trike in Polokwane (ideally at the main airport) from the 27th July to the 8th August and then again from the 12th August for up to another 2 weeks. Does anyone have some space there, or know of someone who might be willing to rent me some? I would also look at any airfields nearby. The goal is to break down the trip into 2 separte flying days with the first leg being Jhb to Polokwane either this weekend or next.

Thanks!

Thanks Nico, I've sent Asterix an email. If anyone has any other ideas, I'm all ears!

Willywojo,
How was the Tuli flight?
I have a mate up there who owns a property and would love to do a cross-country up that way - I'm in a Raptor 582.
Would be very nice to hear your comments and advice regarding your route, planning, wobblies (if any), cross-border paperwork, etc.
If you have time, email me steven-at-roskelly-dot-net.
Thanks!

Hi CA1

I haven't been on the forum for ages and am glad I logged in yesterday and saw your post. The trip was absolutely amazing - a lot of planning and preparation but worth every second of it. Take a look at the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpMbnjhi4d8

Where will you be leaving from and where in the Tuli block will you be heading to?
