Hi Ross,

I love to read your posts, they are so filled with passion for flying. vhpy

It makes me a little bit jealous that you found such a noble sponsor for your hobby - I had to wait 25 years until my dream came true (I'm 36 now). I'm already flying paragliders and powered paragliders. Three weeks ago I took my first trike lessons in a trike made by the German manufacturer "Take-Off trikes" with a BMW engine. I have now 4,5 hours on the clock and am already absolutely addicted to trike flying. 8)

Cheers from Germany to SA,

Oliver

Thanks for your kind words neandertaler it is great to have a fan! (**)
No really, thanks for your support.
Slysi: Yes please! (**) Kidding!
Any way here goes with my latest report!
I drove out to FAFK on Saturday only to find it was blowing quite strong.
Louis was busy teaching (read as preaching  ) A student on the gyro.
He touched down and told me we would have to go in the gyro!
I climbed into my flight-suit and hopped in the gyro! (It was my first time in one!!)
I put on the headsets and turned down Louis offering of the helmet! I was going to do this properly!
We took off and flew a wonderfull flight down to Wintervoegel where we circle three times and then landed!
I got to meet all the guys (It was a fly-in) and have a lovley brekkie!! vhpy
Karl (extra300s) and me chatted for ages and had a good look at his other softness (He has two, a human and a trike! (**) )
It was one lekker time thanks okes!
Regards
Ross
BTW: Haven't downloaded the fotos off the camera yet!

Sorry I haven't replied sooner, I've had a hectic week, full of exams! ##
Anyway, I went for a flight last Saturday (The 22nd). It was GREAT!
We practiced takeoffs, landings and circuits! It is rather scary, the ground seems to rush up, and because Louis is not so keen on landing on rough stuff, everytime I was heading for a small bump in the runway, Louis would jam on the power to get away from the bump!
It was great however, and according to Karl (extra300s), you tend to not feel the ground rush as much and manage to make better landings, with better control, after your first 10-15 landings!
The only bad part of the day, was when we walked into the hangar at 6am and found a puddle of fuel under the gyro, and as louis pushed the gyro out, to prevent more fuel on teh hangar floor, 50L of GOOD petrol went all over the floor! NOT a good time to light a cigarette!
No fotos, sorry! :(

Hey John,

I have an old Brownie in my garage. I will dig it out and courier it to Trikenut so that he can take some photos.
