MPL Training

Postby charlr » Tue May 08, 2007 5:34 pm

Hi Guys

I decided to do my MPL  . While I was looking for a School and doing the round I did my medical (just so that is out of the way) and I passed. I also bought most if not all the stuff I need for ground school. I'm excited and looking forward to training.
I also decided on a School. This will be Freedom Flight School and I mostly spoke to Larry, although I haven't met him as yet I'll do so in a couple of days. I went there and did a demo flight with Rob. I enjoyed it tremendously and the only scary thing was the landing  ,
We came in very fast and steep due to turbulance at 500agl. I'm use to fixed wing and you don't really feel the turbulance like you do in a trike.....Also the wind in your face makes it a bit different.

I wanted to buy a trike and the whole flight suite, helmet and head set but after the advise I received I opted to wait a bit. I'm anyway planning to convert to 3-axis later so maybe I'll buy a small plane rather....

I can't wait for my first official lesson and I hope one of these days I can also play in the sky with you guys and experience the fun of flying again.... 8)

Cheers and thanks for microlighters.co.za for giving me that extra convincing I needed. (reading about all of you made me decide to fly again)

Whenever I can. I fly mostly during the week. On Saturdays it is my son's turn.
