New Air Creation Agent

Postby shamburu » Thu Mar 01, 2007 9:40 am

Air Creation France is pleased to announce that Barry Kerr has taken
over the import agency for Air Creation in South Africa, manufacturers of the Tanarg range of trikes.

Barry will be based at Shamburu Private Reserve and AirPark in the Limpopo Privince, in the heart of the Waterberg. He will be taking on the responsiblity of importer of the full range of Trikes, Wings and Accessories available from the Air Creation range, as well as OEM spair parts.

Barry has been flying Trikes since 1989 with his first trike being the Windlass trike by Solo Wings.

The reason for this move is that an extensive marketing plan has been put into place with the intention of increasing the number of Air Creation trikes gracing the skies with out sacrificing quality or safety in any way what so ever.

TANARG DUAL SEATER: Prices start at EU24 500-00 excl. vat and shipping.

Oh goodness gracious, now I am in real trouble. My dear wife insists that the tanarg is the only trike to have, because it looks so cooool! The only excuse I had, is that there are no agents in SA.
Now what??????? :(

Looks like you may have a big problem, the only advice I have is to make sure your wife does not see this, or you may be forced to buy one.
Barry.

Make no mistake - The Gem is the Porsche of trikes. There are some okes I know who fly GT450's who become emotional when speaking of a Mainair Gemini.

When you read Junkie's posts it is clear that there was only 1 trike for him too

PS: I think HENK still has his Gem for sale

Other okes I know who specialise in wings thought WGT was a dog untill they flew her - Phoned me in shock and amazement  :D , sounded like he was speaking Russian!! Told me he cannot improve on perfection

If the Gem is the Porsche than the Tanarg is the Touareg of trikes mate. :D

A man can dream right....

The only excuse I had, is that there are no agents in SA.

Gary Holmes the owner of Panarama has been the A/C agent for many years-He just didnt push it very hard- If you wanted a trike or spares you ordered through him- The service wasnt bad but he had very litle in the way of spares in stock

Strange that he is not listed with Air Creation France where these aircraft are manufactured and the Previous agent listed with them was Sybrand STRACHAN.

Sybrand and Gary were parters in a company that imported A/C- Sybrand did the technical bit and Gary the sales side- The nicest plane they made was the Racer- I had a 582 in mine- do they still make it ?
We owned 3 Aircrations and had a lot of fun with them :D

He just didnt push it very hard-
Exactly. That is unfortunately a problem with many agencies for "toys" Product does not get pushed onto the market, resulting in very few sales. If only a limited number of trikes from a manufacturer are sold, you end up with an exotic. If the agent is not interested in pushing a product hard, there is a good chance that he may give up the agency out of lack of interest. In the end you sit with an unsupported product.

You are right- other than Panorama there were very few A/C around

When Gary stopped instructing he didnt push it anymore and Sybrand was a fixed wing pilot not a trike pilot- The suport was always there if you needed spares- When we bought a new one for Vulture they did give good sevice and PD before hand over- I was never unhappy with them but the service from Big G when I upgraded to Main Air was a lot better :D
