Anyone got any first hand exp installing any of the MGL avionics bigger toys? Think I saw pic of Enigma installed in a blunderturd on here? Anyone know of one? Would like to see one in action if possible. Will travel, but CT a bit far :oops: :oops: :oops:

I've seen it and ordered it. Wrote something for the next African Skies about it - but you might get the Enigma before the Magazine if you order now, even though there is a 3 month waiting period. Have a look at the website - pictures and simulator online.

Is it a GPS or does it work from your existing one?

Yes, the GPS unit is included - full colour with moving map, airfield detail etc. Add this to the electronic flight instruments then the Enigma is cheaper than any combination of FIS' (digital or analogue) plus a colour GPS on the market today.

Sonex 711(?) is the guy. You can call Andrew on 083 280 1075. He hangars at Summit. He knows plenty about the Enigma..

That be me! Currently installed in the Blunderturd, and a new one to be ordered for the Savannah! You are most welcome to come play with it, or I could also fly to you (as long as it doesn't require extended flight over built-up areas) :wink:
