WIndlass VHF radio antena query
I am rebuilding a windlass. My current portable vertex VHF has the normal bendy antenna. I am debating removing the nose mounted antenna and just using the portable antenna. Is it worth buying the SMA to BNC adaptor and using the nose antenna. Materially better signal? Or has the tech progressed in the last 15 years?
