I need to know what will be the best spark plug for this engine

NGK BR8ES

OR

NGK BPR8ES (it looks a bit longer than above type)

What is the difference?

Hi Leon,

Operating Manual says BR8ES.

Dont know the other plug, but rather stay with what ROTAX has defined for the motor.

Dirk

Yes.........you will need to look up the equivalents if you want other manufacturers

Slightly relevant info: plug with resistor ('R') or not. I've been shown once the inside of NGK plugs with resistor and without. In the non-resistor type the connection to the top (outer) terminal is a flimsy little wire that can actually break loose from vibration quite easily. These plugs have a much higher failure ratio for this reason. The resistor type is much-much more robust.

Cheers,

V.
