Aviatika owners, spares needed ?

Postby Rudix » Tue Nov 25, 2008 11:58 am

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to compile a list of all the Aviatika owners in South Africa, it looks like we might get a local representative again. This will be great as it would make it easy again to get spares and even new planes. If you do not own one but knows someone who does please also let me know as well or ask the owner to contact me.

Please post here or PM/E-mail me your contact details, I will forward it to the correct person.

Thanks !
Fly safe,
Rudi

Hi Aviatika owners !

I had a meeting with a representative from the MIG factory today. It was very positive and it looks like we might see some more from them around here in the near future.

We are now looking at the feasibility of bringing in more planes and also spares for the current ones, setting up a local distributor in the process. We also discussed some options to make it more attractive for the local market including other (less expensive) engine options. The plan is too also look at other markets in Southern Africa, including commercial game capturing, counting and farm patrol operations in Botswana and Namibia.

For now I would like to compile a list of spares needed to get the non flying planes in SA back in the air. According to the info I have we have 36 Aviatikas in SA, currently (not sure how current it actually is !) 29 have ATF's. I am also considering buying all the non flying ones if the owners are not interested in repairing them, revamping them and reselling them. The rebuilding, fixing and servicing facilities would also be available to all owners. All this with factory support.

So if you need spares or have a plane you want to get rid of please contact me.

If things fall into place you might see some demo flights at airshows and fly-in's in the near future !

Other planes are also on the cards, watch this space......

Fly safe,
Rudi

BGM now lives in Uitenhage. Runs a 618 and performs very well down here!
