Hi there just want to introduce myself. Barry Wolmarans from just outside Bloemfontein. 49 years young cattle farmer.
I spent 10 years in the SAAF in the late 80,s early 90,s as aircraft fitter on Alo III, s mostly at Bloemspruit. Been into Radio controlled aircraft most of my life, scratch building mostly.
I've always wanted to get into Microlights but did not realize till recently that it is very affordable.
Expecting to be able to purchase a plane in the not to distant future. I would like to do my training on my own plane if possible.
Been doing some homework on what to buy but not sure about what motor size. I wouldn't like to spend more than say 50 k on the plane or is that a bit to little
Thanks in advance for the great forum I've been on Avcom for years "Sniper "

Good morning All

My name is Jean Coetzee, I am new to the forum.

I am a current PPL Pilot with Night Rating, Safety Pilot Rating and Test Pilot endorsements. I was involved with Microlights a number of years back and are slowly getting back into the swing of things.

I fly mostly out of Rhino Park with LSA but have a number of larger AC (C182, C210) that I have the opportunity, from time to time, to pilot.

Let us stay safe out there.

Greetings

Gubby, I fly out to Vaal Dam quite often from Panorama. Was out there on Wednesday following the shoreline at low level. One of my favourite trips especially when visibility good.
