De-Registration of aircraft

Postby Sad-Ham » Wed Sep 20, 2017 11:47 am

I need some advice....

I have someone from the UAE interested in purchasing my trike. What would the procedure be, CAA/RAASA forms required to de-register the trike from my name for such a transaction?

You will need a DA 550 (customs export form) in addition to a F178 or NEP (Bank Forms) if the transaction is higher than R50k. The DA 550, sometimes called the SAD550 is normally supplied to you by the shipping company as proof that the aircraft has left SA.

These forms then need to accompany the CAR47A which you submit to CAA. You will then receive a De-registration certificate that you pass onto the buyer so they can register the aircraft in their country.
