I do the odd stint - riding my first race for the year on Saturday in support of my daughter that competes in the local XCM / XCO / Spur series

Roger Thomas out PE way is also a keen MTB'er

It's a great way to have fun and keep healthy.
Keep supporting your daughter, the series is a great entry into greater things...

My sons took part in the very beginning of the school series many years ago which has become the current Spur series
We still ride together although they are in a different league ability wise

My post was really to invite any prospective mountain bikers to join us for some of the best riding in SA which is on our doorstep...

Brett Hickman has also started :-)

Maybe you should try getting Donald H to ride with you ;-)

The MTB riding is totally supplementary to her Triathlon program - taking part in the PE Xterra and Grabouw Xterra later this month ... @13 she is a "machine" with incredible endurance levels!

We ride a lot. Jax, myself, Gaylord focker and a few others ride pretty much most weekends, either at northern farms, van gaalens, modderfontein or wherever the whim takes us. Your more than welcome to join if you like. Pretty social stuff. Quickish when we want to be but generally our rule is we only go pro on Tuesdays...

Hey Andries... our neck of the woods - https://www.gardenroutetrailpark.com/

Do you do any of the races locally - eg Redstone / Kingfisher etc. ?

Hi John,
Any local race info will be welcome! My boet Fred can be found at Giant Lifestyle George, pop in and say howzit!
Unfortunately I work offshore Brasil, on a 4 week rotation, and seem to miss out on most of the local races. When home, i train my butt off, mostly on the trails at Saasveld/ Outeniqua. My goal is Attekwas 2018
