AirMagic is Now Skywares

Postby Alpha » Mon Nov 28, 2016 11:35 am

Goodday All,

As per some of my previous posts you will see we were in development and negotiation with regards to being the new comms and accessory provider to our flying community. Well today I am pleased to announce that Gavin Van Der Berg aka Tailspin and myself have acquired what used to be known as AirMagic and have re-branded the whole range under Skywares. This re-branding also included some improvements on the old system which i am sure everyone will be pleased with.

Some changes include taking power directly from the plane and not a separate battery system in the headsets. There will however be a separate backup system in the headset should the main power supply fail. This system is also backward compatible to the old airmagic system. There is also an improvement to the connectors which are now more robust.

Please note, we have taken over everything from Paul and are now solely responsible for the products and service going forward, so to give you a taste as to what we are bringing to the party....

1) Sky comm system complete with Sky Star Pilot headset, Skystar Pax headset, Skylink (chatterbox), PTT and extension cable with back to back coupler and two headsets bags and this at a launch special of R4850.00 incl...for the complete system setup to your current radio spec.

2) Gripper Classic - This includes the 2 main gripper wing tie downs, the gripper 2 nose/tail tie down, a hammer and gloves in a neat carry bag. and for the launch offer we will include a set of Tjokkie wheel chocks all for a launch price of R1599.00 Incl.

3) V-Rabbit Anntena R1950.00 incl.

4) We have Pitot tube covers with the remove before before flight banners at R100.00

5) We have single carb covers at R75.00

The above mentioned items are immediately available.

There is a lot more to come and we are available for service and repair on your older units. So if you have any questions or would like to order any of these units before the end of the year, reply to this post with your details or PM either myself or Tailspin and we will get back to you.

Our guarantee to you is to always be available with the right solution for your needs.

Blue skies.... (^^) (^^)

Fantastic news!! I am a big fan of the system and my only gripe was loosing comms due to dead battery in the headsets once.

Helmets? I recall Paul had a line going before he folded. Maybe I am mistaken.

Hi Alpha, nice to see things are happening again,,,,,BUT,,,,,not everyone is flying trikes.
some of us like me , flying a Thunderbird, three axis, also needs a good intercom.SO,,,,
CAN you make changes to the intercom, like,,,,,
change the the headphone plugs to dual GA ones, with both cables as long as those of the pax`s.
Swop the coiled ptt cable for a straight one. Now i can use my GA headset in both my Thunderbird and Bushbaby.
No need for a backup power in the headsets. Batteries is always a pain in the neck and make the headset to heavy.
If you can do that, I will take one, your first one, but i need one soon, very soon. I use a Icom A22 radio, dual plugs.
Let me (us) know. Looking forward to your reply xxx vhpy

Hi Scorpio,

Thanks for the request. This we can do for you for sure, I will put a cost together for you. So just to confirm, you are wanting only the SkyLink (Chatterbox) with GA plugs setup for an Icom A22 and a straight cord PTT? Once you confirm I will let you know the cost and get one built up for you.

Regards

Alpha (^^) (^^)
