Hey pilots
I am curious as to where you guys/gals fly to on weekends
Perhaps if you could share your favorite coffee/breakie destination here with some airfield details and co-ords.
I know places like Aeroden, Carltonville, Circus, Lekoa and Parys you are able to get a coffee and breakie if you like
If you keen for a nice flip then Inibos, Ntokozo , Sun City(Land at Pilanesberg, free shuttle to Sun City), you are also able to meet awesome people and have a good coffee.
Last year I flew to Aeroden, had a coffee with John.Com and Oom Bassie then we routed for Potch...there was nothing going on there
So where to
Just looking for new places to fly to
Keep in mind I'm talking about trike flying, but do welcome the fixed wing destinations..not talking about a coffee in Margate and back to Crosswinds
Thanx and have an awesome one
So where do you fly to...

Depends on where you fly from.
I fly from Aeroden, so to me most of the nice places are near.
Ntokoza, Kokoriba, etc.
But I've also flown to Zebula (nice facilities - but expensive breakfast), Brits - LEKKA Breakfast.
If the guy's are there , then alway's nice to drop in for a cooldrink at Silver Creek (behind buffelspoort dam) and Rustenburg.
Mowala at Northam also stocks ICE COLD drinks.- I've not eaten there yet.
Mongena Lodge north of Pretoria gives you the opprtunity to fly over big 5 area. and they have a very nice breakfast too.
I fly at 65 mph so most of these are easily reachable for the round the patch flyers. (no offence meant)
I fly 'cause I love going places.
Fly safe.

Hi J
That really sounds awesome, I would love to check out Mowala, Brits and Silver Creek.Always nice flying to a new destination
Last Sunday we flew to Mongena...landed first at Kroon then routed to the Crater and finally Mongena.Really was epic as we had to buzz the runway to clear the animals.Really a nice place to fly to, never had the breakie but the coffee was awesome and the guys who had breakie were pleased.
I fly from Crosswinds, so Aeroden is also a favourite place to fly to.If you looking for a breakie with some entertainment, then you can head to Carltonville as you will be watching the skydivers come in.They usually start serving breakie from sunrise as most of the skydivers sleep over.
Yip..and winter is now the best time to get away from the patch flying (wink wink)
Looking forward to meeting you sometime...perhaps at the Kroon breakie
