Embedding video clips into a forum post

Postby D2O » Tue Jan 06, 2015 12:39 pm

Can it be done on Microlighters, or can we only post the url link to the video clip?
I've tried the traditional ways, but it doesn't seem to work :(

Note the YouTube button at the end above the box where you type?

Just make sure that you make the Youtube URL 'http' and not 'https', which sometimes is the case when copying a URL through from Youtube.

If there is an added 's', as it 'https', it will not display as above, but only like THIS:

So, simply remove the 's' from the URL to be 'http' only, like THIS:

['youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfXT38YIO6g

(Note: I have added an apostrophe as the second character in the line above to make it not display as a video for purposes of illustration)

I also noticed the standard youtube share link does not work, and you need to remove any text following the unique video number in the link

Thanks for enabling the feature!

I must say, I'm surprised that orchestra still played well after those chillis!
I'd be calling for the medics after the first 10 seconds!
