Jabiru engines have to get a Top Overhaul at 1000hr's. The sail will be on condition, you will have to speak to Andrew Pappas about that.

correct is 1000 hours but does not often get there. normally needs to be done shortly after 800 hours. depends on blow bys and condition of engine.

Hi Jon,

The last time we did a 1000hr. top end,on a Batam 85hp. the parts from Shadowlite( Jabiru) were about R15k. Add labour at about R10/15K.
Fabric........contact Jenya at Petit zero82 853 824nine he does Bantams.

Have blow-by's done every 100hrs. and if all OK no reason why the engine will not purr on to 1000hrs.!!

Even if you fly 10 hrs a month, you still have more than 3 years to go. Just be careful you don't pay too much for the Bantam. Lots of sellers with high expectations!

Rgds, Mike

He only did the Wings and Empenage. With the fuselage, I should imagine the 45K will be about right. Jenya, will probably quote you a price, but you will have to deal with Andrew, or Trevor. Jenya makes for them, and will not sell privately. I spoke to him some time ago about it.
Cheers.
Vernon.
