Airfields and Hangers

Postby bobthebuilder » Wed Jul 31, 2013 4:18 pm

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a hanger for my Koala on the Johannesburg East Rand, but am not sure where to start looking.
Since the aircraft is a tail dragger, a cross runway would be a real bonus and may buy me more flying time each year.
Other things I have considered are:

1) Availability
2) Avialablitiy
3) You guessed it .... Availability!

Petit is really convenient. The general condition of the runway wasn't great a while back. Does anyone know if it has been improved lately?
Springs is like Heaven, can anyone assist with a contact there? (I have heard of a mysterious gent named Eddie with a yellow Rans S12)
Rhino Park has a dust problem, and no available hangers.
Zynkraal looks nice, anyone know who to contact?
Brakpan, well not sure if they want a microlight there, but also an option.
Bapsfontein?

At this point, beggars can't be choosers I guess.

Any ideas or advice will be appreciated.

Many thanks Dualstar.
I called Stephan, and he already has an interested party, but will let me know tomorrow.

If you want cross runways, and loooong tarred ones, check out FASI springs, better than that in the near facility, you won't get.
