Air nav pro

Postby Folla » Mon Jun 10, 2013 12:23 pm

Goeie Dag almal.
Enige voorstelle asb.

Hi Folla,

Folla

Folla, I can only echo the advice given. I have it on my iPad & iPhone and it is great. The only problem is the airfield info for RSA is not good, but that is solvable by uploading your own aerfield information into the application. See the thread on technical below. (^^)

you cant go wrong with Air-nav pro -- they got plenty features from topology, elevation, Flight plans, way points, MET info from beacons which can be automatically updated and downloaded at any time -- also plenty HOW-TO videos online -- easy to use!

I bought AIR NAV PRO for my Ipad whilst in the UK. Having got back to zimbabwe only to find it is totally USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It has hardly any infomation on it, in fact almost nothing, doesnt even have the TMA's on it. Also there are no 3d or 2d charts available so the rest of the tools in air nav are also useless!!!!!!!!!!!
Totally dissappointed should have bought Skydemon instead.
Be warned if you live in Zambia and planning on buying Air Nav Pro, DONT BUY IT as you will have the same problem as trying to use it here in Zim.
Maybe somebody in RSA that is an agent for Air Nav Pro can shed some light on why it has no useable infomation for Zim.

That's weird... I downloaded the app and then all the maps and never had an issue.... was in Heathrow and in Germany and all was good... don't think you will find an "agent" per se.?? maybe contact the apps authors?/

Hi Dish, I have checked with the other guys that have bought Air Nav Pro here in zim and same issues NO INFO, all you can use is the basic navigation tool, all estimates, prohibated areas , tma's etc you have get the info of a map and jot it down on a paper and follow when flying, ya like I said very dissapointed wasted 34 pounds buying the program.
When I was in the UK I had a look at it and it looked great , got home loaded maps for zimbabwe and got nothing, think a basic cell phone with GPS is more useful than this program.
