Belgian Microlight Flyer
Belgian Microlight Flyer
Hi,
The Microlight bug bit me while camping with a friend on a ridge in the Drakensberge.
Some weirdo came busting trough the clouds with his trike. Amazing view that was! Had to learn that too.
Went back to belgium and started training with my instructor Christof. (The guy is 27 and has already 8000 hours as an instructor on microlights).
Now after 2 years I'm flying my own Air Creation GTE with Rotax 582 and Ixess wing. Nice machine but costly on fuel.
In the mean time I'm learning to fly the FK-9 microlight plane. Just got solo last weekend. I know, it's not a trike, but it gives me the opportunity to fly when the weather is just not good enough for a trike. And that's quite often the case here in Belgium.
My club and airfield http://www.ulm.be/nl/main/default.htm
No English on the site but I think most of you can read and understand a bit of Flemish.
I hope to be able to fly in SA soon.
Greetings from Belgium,
Joel

Aerotrike Safari with Spirit II wing hangared at Kliprivier... Currently on trailer for some rubber and electric overhauling after this trip: viewtopic.php?t=196
Currently based at Klipriver, operating a Hornet ZU-AYV with William - this trike is listed in the "For Sale" section. We are getting a 582 powered Windlass. Trained at Springs, nearly 100 hours now in the book. Interesting fly-outs include Lydenburg, Orient via WK Pinedene, Wonderboom, Witbank, Vereeniging and more lately Saffier and Parys.

Thats my problem, Demon, I have a lot of videos from inside to the outside, but nothing like your gr8 pix.
The quality is also gr8 I can see hardly the prop turn
Want Vids , from our last flight, I burn u a DVD, or if you want for your web page I make you one CD, which you can load to your page.
On the next fly-in we could even make some costum ones for you

Do you always fly it while standing to the side, holding the bar....demon wrote:I am the South African agent for P & M Aviation. I have the privilege of flying with an awesome bunch of aviators from Rietfontein Airfield in Honeydew. We have had many great and scary adventures together. Currently I am flying a Pegasus Quantum 912.
