Very quiet and cold this morning. But super smooth. Only the school and Faizel doing training.

Are you guys scared of the cold?.....says he with his heated jacket. (^^)

Does anyone know where I can get Slick 50?

Well put Mr. Meanwell vhpy puff puff puff

I red an interesting article about DuPont Co, the inventor and supplier of most PTFE (Teflon) to additive companies, like Slick 50. They, from time to time, manage to stop these companies from buying and using their product. It seems to be based on legality issues. Maybe, that is why some additive companies, from time to time, withdraw their Teflon based products. See carbibles, The Engine Oil Bible: Snake oil.

All I can say, is that, my 582 performs, cooler, smoother, revs lower at cruise (4300rpm) and is more responsive after a carb ingested treatment of Teflon based Slick 50. I do this treatment every 150hrs....... Availability of Slick 50 permitting. puff puff Salusa 582 (^^)

Hi Paul, can you please elaborate on exactly, what this product do,
And how you apply that.
I remember years ago you where able to get this Slick 50, but that was used as an additive to your engine oil. (Brilliant additive) Have not seen this for many a year.

Ps, Can you please ad a link to the article you referring to.

Hi Klein,

Slick 50 is an engine treatment oil additive. It coats the working parts with Teflon. My instructor/AP at Springs airfield told me that he uses it on the schools 503's.

I slowly drip about 50ml per piston into each carb while reving the engine. After treatment, I replace the spark plugs.

But, all this does not help, if you can't get Slick 50. ##

6 trikes will be departing Thursday morning from Microland to Africa Cup via ALZU. We will be returning Sunday morning same route. All weather permitting of course. I have created a whatsapp group for this gaggle. If you want to be part of the group let me know.

Those using windguru, I created a custom spot. Spot search, "spot name", ALZU.

See you merry bunch down there....it is going to be the greatest one ever s023
