Hi Guys

Have a look and be careful of the friendly cow. A quick trip from Middelburg, Eastern Cape to Craddock.

Hi Skybound

I am based in Middelburg on contract. Been here since May and expect to be here until May 2016.

Quite a turbulent area to fly around in summer.

Got really hammered from about 6000 feet on Sunday. Like to cruise at about 8000 feet. Just damn cold.

Graphite powder. Should be able to get from a locksmith or hardware.

You can get the powder in a toothpaste type tube with a nozzle tip. Even with a little play between hangblock and keel, you should be able to squeeze it in. Otherwise you need to slide the hangblock forward or backwards and apply it on the keel, before putting the hangblock back to its original position.

Thanks Kloot.

Hi Blue Max

As far as I know am the only one here in this area. The radio never ever crackles to life.

There is one lockable small hangar which just fits my trike. The second hangar has half a roof and no door.

This time of year it is very turbulent so your window is really between 05:00 and 07:30. Of course you can find smooth air at greater altitude but coming down can be very bumpy, seriously bumpy. Luckily the Mainair Blade wing seems to handle this but I cannot compare to your trike. I am actually enjoying the bumps - the gentle ones.

Mountains here are awesome to fly around but usually fairly strong winds aloft - only really affects duration vs. time.

Hi Madman

Cool footage.

I enjoyed your tree hugging experience. Glad it turned out OK. Don't know how I would have managed as am used to a 1500m runway.
