A special thanx to Juan Gerrits and Ian Pienaar from Tswane. I bought a Challenger in Middelburg Mpumu. and these men jumped at the opportunity to fly it down to Cape Town the past weekend.
I'll post all the details but these boys departed in overcast J'burg on Friday, got boxed in at Kroonstad, katgeskiet in the plane at Boshof and back to Kroonstad. Saterday from Kroonstad to Kimberly, Prieska, overnite somewhere in middle of Karoo, Sunday to Carnarvon, Calvinia and home to Nooitgedacht, Clanwilliam.
Upon arrival at 12:15 pm they only had time for a SSS, back into the groundvehicle and currently 3/4 back home to Pretoria again - moeg, seer en gatvol, maar wel gedaan.
Lyk my al die Challengers is nou onder in die Kaap.....
Job well done
"We are marching to Tswane" ... mmmm .... doesn't quite work for me
"We are marching to Pretoria" ... now that sounds better; it's just got a special ring to it !!!
Let's not even start the "name change" debate here. In Pietermaritzburg they are changing Commercial Street to Chief Albert Luthuli Street; now can some-one please point out to me, the doff one, where the word / name Commercial indicates anything racial / "old regime" etc. ??

When you said your plane was dirty I did not realise it was from "katgeskiet"
Well done to the ferry lads, I'd love to hear the whole story.
Now, who of you Challenger Pilots, seeing they are all in Cape Town, will be willing to go on a 2-week flight up the West Coast, across to JHB/PTA, Across to Noerthern Natal and follow the coast all the way back again?
2700 Miles, 2-300 miles a day, 45 to 55 flying hours. I want to do it later this year
