Leather Flying CAPS
Leather Flying CAPS
I was looking at aquiring one of these but never realised the expense of them. R900.00
Is there any one who has acontact for this type of cap,it must be able to intergrate the headset in it.
Winter is coming and I do not want to be grounded.

I have some ex SAAF/RAF ones with old bakelite headset speakers in them- Some of them are fur lined- I bought them at a surplus store in PTA called Falkstons ( I think ) They have all sorts of interesting suff- eg a airforce sextant for R70 - They may still have some of the flying caps
i bought about 5 of them so if you dont come right I could part with one

Flying flying flying-- and a bit of gliding
I took the inner lining that comes with the David Clark K10 helmet to a leather shop and the guy said he could have a leather flying cap made up from that. I decided not to pursue it at the time, but that might be an option and will then work with a modern headset.
The hardest part is to find rubber that is tough yet thin enough to contain the headphones and get sewn into the leather flying cap.

Order has been placed and paid for so when they arrive I will post pic for all to see as they are bliksems expensive bought over the counter.
What's the reason for getting these? My hairdo gets all stuffed up in flight and then Velocity gets the chicks wiff a schute on his back.
