RAASA Screw Up Again!! CHECK YOUR PAPERS

Postby georgeh » Fri Jul 02, 2010 11:00 am

Frustraion!!!!!!! When you been waiting 3 weeks for Certificate of Registration and ATF and you open the post to find RAASA have F.......d up AGAIN, what do you do?????? Your forms are filled in correctly, with ZS- and your ATF comes back with a ZU, come on please. They cant even spell my name right, George "Goerge?" How does this slip through, and how many people have checked your ATF before it's sent off?
Last time it was my CCM licence that came back as a WCM licence.
"IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?"
Surely, if this has happend to me twice, there must be a lot more of us receiving documents with faults on them.
I'm totally peed off.
Is it also acceptable to have to wait 3 weeks for a Certificate of Registration?
I would like everyone who has had this problem add to this. I refuse to pay around R400.00 to speed up the process.

You seem very frustrated.Calm down and just sort out the problem,no need to rant with such negativity ,there are other forums that cater for that .Here on Microlighters we go for a more positive type of attitude. :)

All make mistakes. i judge how they react to the mistake as yardstick. CAA have told me I made the mistake for eg when they spelled George wrong or deleted a couple type ratings by mistake.

Raasa on other hand issued ATF without the "VFR night" clause. Oops they said and printed me a new one there and then. Similarly if you send them an email I am sure they will rectify the mistake... I have never had any issues with RAASA. On other hand I have almost been arrested when at CAA offices (more than 1ce     )

Thanks for the input. Have chilled, just very frustrating when things take so long especially when you check with them every 2 or 3 days and nothing happens. I do understand people make mistakes, but i dont think it should happen in these organisations this often. These mistakes could have serious repurcusions. What would happen if i flew a trike with the WCM licence issued and it was meant to be CCM?
By the way, Willem has fixed the problem, 3rd time lucky. He was very efficient. (^^) (^^)

Hi George.

Sorry for a late reply I have been on leave after the birth of my second daughter.

I was upset to hear about the issues you had with your ATF and the delay at RAASA on my return, I am however glad to hear that it was sorted out by Willem.
Should anybody experience any undue delays or mistakes on their documentation please feel free to contact myself or Willem ASAP.
Delays are mostly caused by incorrect paper work or supporting documents that have not been supplied, it is our policy that if all required documents are supplied and correct an application will be processed within an hour sometimes less. Licenses occasionally take a bit longer but we still try to process them with an hour.

When you are unsure if your application is correct or you have all the required documents rather call us beforehand to confirm and avoid unnecessary delays.
I expect that certain mistake will creep in from time to time even though we try to avoid these, but I can ensure that we will rectify these immediately.
We will also continue to attempt to improve client service.

Regards
Pierre

Hi Pierre,
I really appreciate you coming back to me on this. Congratulations on the new addition to the family.
The more i think about it, I should appologise about making Raasa look bad. RAASA'S delay was largely due to CAA taking so long with my Certificate of Registration. They were Pathetic compared to you guys.
Willem was VERY efficient in rectifying the problem. (^^) (^^) (^^) Just waiting for the original rectified ATF now.
Thanks.

Recently I did an annual on a foxbat and made a mistake with the Engine serial no. Willem was quick to phone me to let me know. I phoned through the correct no. and in a couple of days, the ATF was posted. No problems. Thanks Willem. (^^) (^^) I am sure I can aggree with Piere. The problem would normally be a paperwork problem. Cheers,
Vernon. vhpy vhpy vhpy

The only problem that i have is that sometimes they are too efficiant. (good on you). They are picking up mistakes that CAA never picked up. I agree anyone can make a mistake the measure is how do they rectify their mistakes. Willem is very good at rectyifying and admitting if he is wrong which is not often as far as my dealings with them go.

Ditto! I have always found them Most helpful and a huge improvement over the 'old' CAA days!
