A sad loss today as we heared that Aiden de Gersigney passed away at 10:00 this morning. Thoughts go to Lynn and family from everyone.

:cry: :cry: What do we say at a time like this that will ease the pain of loosing a loved one? A very sad day for the family and a great loss to aviation in South Africa. Condolencess to the family and may God strenghten you through this very tough time. Go well Aiden and may you rest in peace untill we meet again. It was a privlidge (^^)

I have just had to get up and go to the couch as I am feeling weak.
I CAN"T belive he's dead, as I finished reading the post, I felt tears running down my face.

I am in shock. This is not just an guy I never heard of, but someone I knew of and ad communicated with...
He was a great man...
RIP Aiden, you don't need an Aquilla anymore, you have your own wings now...

So sorry to hear this shocking news. My thoughts go to his family and all at Solo Wings. We will remember Aiden and his contribution to South Africa aviation for a very long time.
Think of what the Wright brothers could have done with a Rotax!

A profound sense of sadness overwhelms one at the news of Aiden`s passing.

My sincerest condolences to family and friends.

Aiden, your legacy to aviation in South Africa can be found in virtually every hanger at every microlight airfield.

I fly your product with pride.

This is a great loss to us Microlighters. Aiden's legacy will live on in his wonderful aircraft.

If only all of us could have a life where we give as much happiness as he has given us with his Windlass's and Aquilla's.
