Sorry, could be my fault. Emailed them the scanned copy of my ATF renewal pack - 17 pages, 2 Meg PDF - on Friday, just in case something can be done about my ATF and I can fly over the weekend ...

Yippie, got two phonecalls today and both were good news:

1. The ladies from RAASA managed to recover my ATF renewal application from the post and it's being processed now. Many thanks!

2. ICASA phoned to confirm the address to which to post the radio station licence.

(^^)

Cheers,

V.

How did you fly it before? Is ATF (at least certified copy) not required to be kept in the plane?

CAA should have a copy of last years.

Well, I must disagree............. (**) (**)
Sent all my paperwork for new ATF last Tuesday, arrived RAASA Wednesday (Confirmed by phone) also paid for overnight return, was picked up at RAASA on Thursday and arrived at Postnet Hout Bay Friday morning.
Can't complain. !!

Well, I must disagree.............
Fides, with which part of my post do you disagree?

That my paperwork was sent normal mail last year despite me paying R100? (fact)
That Pierre took issue with my comments re scam and blamed administrative error? (fact)
That I again this year paid R100 for overnight delivery? (fact)
That Willem emailed me that my ATF is on its way, normal post? (fact)
That deja vu means "already seen" and that this surely is the case? (fact)

Or are you saying that you have had good service, and I am just unlucky in that RAASA has a 100% success rate of pissing me off?

Gert, I think you have been unlucky. Cos Raasa are really trying to be 'jacked up'
I understand your frustrations though.
