What part of OFFICE CLOSED don't you understand

But while it is now slightly forced open again, JB, I will phone my grandpa tomorrow to find out whether he can remember "Springbok Radio". He is a historian.

Witwillem, vat daai mis-oes spanspekke en maak Avgas of mampoer, want jy gaan dit mors om dit op stoepe te gooi wat nie gevee wil word nie.

Loop slaap nou julle almal. Son skyn nie hier bo so lank as by julle nie.

Well done Nkwazi,

Although it might appear that we (microlighters) are seeking to draw attention unto ourselves at the moment (on this forum and Avcom), it is not true. We never seeked a spotlight on us, but our Misasa Committee begged to be heard, AeCSA opted to listen to old blood rather than to their market. Misasa will from now be recieving the attention (as a major partner in AeCSA) it deserves.

MISASA committee, I do not want to know how much time, effort and strain has been placed on you lately but it must have been huge. Please be assured of my support and find comfort in what Darryll Lush said on AVCOM, DO NOT BUDGE. Stick to your rather basic and rightfull requests.

Now Kloot... therein lies the crux of the matter! (^^)

The sideshow and side swipes have almost no bearing on what we as a committee wanted for our members - rightfull and basic requests!

To all the members and committee members of MISASA
I too have been watching this thread quietly for quite some time.

Well Done! It is time we all stood together and raised our voices.

As a committee member of SAGPA (S A Gyro Pilots Association) I firmly cast my vote with you and I do believe that our chairman and the rest of our committee would do the same.
The SAGPA ARO has been trodden on by CAA recently with scant regard (another thread altogether) and I fear that the same invincible attitude may have rubbed off on AeCSA and some of their Scribes.

It is time that CAA, RAASA, AeCSA et al realise that they act (and exist) on their members (clients) behalf.

Its not about magazines or brownie points, its about what we do to make General Aviation more accessible, achievable and safe to all our members, regardless of which affiliate they support.

Lets forget the politics, act in the best interest of our members and keep our skies free and safe. Then we will have achieved something.

Viva Freedom of our skies! Viva MISASA for having the Gonads to stand up to them!

Nkwazi wrote:"One major gripe I had with the event is the blatant lack of discipline that exists among the microlight community. I was appalled at the people walking around among aircraft with engines running. I also spoke to a bunch of weight-shift thugs about the blatant disregard for the regulations about smoking among aircraft. I got a lot of lip from some arrogant fool. When I reacted with serious authority, they just dropped their burning cigarettes on the ground. When I turned away, I glanced back and they had simply picked up their burning fags and carried on smoking. Why do so many of them crash - simple, a lack of respect for the regulations that are there to protect them from their own stupidity."

As a passionate microlighter I take HUGE exception to this statement from whoever penned it. Guy has seemingly attributed this to Athol but who knows where it originates?? It's a disgusting and, to be honest, arrogant rambling from some ignorant IDiOT who was a guest of Misasa at Tedderfield!! Shame on you ##

So after a lot of name calling and stupid wally awards that seems very childish  has anyone tried to find out who was these guys smoking around aircraft :? or is that ok to do :?:
