Interesting ritual in St Maarten

Postby bennieatsea » Thu Jan 04, 2007 2:33 pm

This is what we do for fun in St Maarten :)

If you look closely to the tail-end of that KLM 747 you will notice people hanging on the fence behind it waiting for the take off ,those engines give you such a blast.....I have to ad...you do that only once  The heat and the little pebbles hitting you in the face is not that nice. If you let your hands go you'll end up on the road a few meters back, and the excessive amount of pina collada in your blod doesn't help at all :!:

If you google St Maarten there are a number of video clips showing people being blown into the water.

Right at the end of the beach there is the Sunset beach bar, they have speakers there, tuned into the ATC ,while you are sitting there you listen to the pilots talking to the ATC, not to mention the rule of "Topless ladies drink for free" :) When they hear a "heavy" on approach they rush to the beach to see what happens, very entertaining.
