Hi Everyone,

Have fun Buzz, I have too much on unfortunately so cant join.... I'd also like to know where that runway is....I didn't even know there was one at Renosterkop.
Take a pic of it when you get there.

Since Tuesday the WX has been unbeatable. Flying everyday until 11 and then again from 3ish. when we feel like it
And the scenery sure beats the mielies at Microland. Sorry, Microland, your scenery is also not bad. A trip up to the Limpopo mouth and breakfast at Zongoene Lodge, Friday morning, sounds good.
Enjoy!

Re: THE MICROLAND THREAD..."Home of the Tailwinds"
It might not be Mozambique or the Natal coast but .... flying this morning from Microland was awesome.
Nice and warm no wind and not a bump in the sky. There was thick steam fog over the dams and deep blue sky.
I saw Robbie doing circuits and Fanie off in the distance with a student otherwise the sky was quiet.
Now I'm in the office wishing I was back in the sky.
Have a lekker day.

Re: THE MICROLAND THREAD..."Home of the Tailwinds"
Well done Buzz.
We are all back safely and wishing were still there. It was an absolutely awsome trip. In the words of my son, it feels like a dream...there is so much to take in you don't even know where to look....I have got goose flesh...totally overwelming!!! You can not hope to explain the sensation of flying over those crystal clear palm fringed lagoons and endless coastline to anyone....to experience it is the only way. Thanks to Mozfly for all the help and organising the clearances. Seems as though, regardless how long you apply in advance, you get your clearance the day before you leave. We will be back
On Saturday we flew to Zongoene lodge. I had made prior arangement with them to land and have breakfast at the lodge. On landing management was there to welcomed us. The ladies, who drove, had also arived and took us to the lodge. When we got the bill there was an unexpected additional amount of R330 per aircraft slapped onto it. That made the breakfast very very expensive and left a sour taste. Won't see me again.
