How'd Folks

Postby slysi » Sat Dec 21, 2013 9:49 pm

How'd Folks!

It's been a long time since I have been around the forum. Could not seem to get my dream off the ground ##

Well, I am back with flight clearence (if you know what I mean)

So, I am based in JHB and looking to get my LSA. What schools can you all recommend?

Will also be looking to buy a Bantam or Jabi or maybe even a Bushbaby. I know getting a hangar at an airfield was always a problem. I live in the West Rand, anything in the area?

Cheers

Hi,
On the West Rand you have crosswinds airfield.
Trevor Davies is the PA and instructor and owner there.
A very thorough instructor and mechanic.
He recently did a major repair and overall on my Thunderbird which is now being offered for sale on the forum.
If you want to start at the bottom and progress upwards, I suggest you start with a Thunderbird.
It is being advertised on the forum and you wont be making a mistake.

Definitely Paul Kinsley -- best rates, and over 3500hours on LSA alone. Two friends and myself have used Paul for our licenses in the last year with very satisfactory results!

Thanks Big D. It's great to see some of the old crowd. Yip, flight clearance all go. Just looking for someone to train me now!

Is it just me or is the forum very quiet??? :?:

Been a way for a while and reading some of the older posts I see that Demon and I presume some of the older contributors are gone?

It is a bit quiet at the moment - tends to go through phases of "busy ness" - The lads are around. Holidays have kept some from their laptops, others work commitments but the lads are around.
Well done on getting that dream "off the ground" - enjoy and fly safe
