Something like Conrad said...you could ask my father next time.
With age I am loosing my memory, and to try to addapt to this limitation and given all the places you need a username, I chose a common one that should be easy to remember for me...go figure, my surname and initials. Luckily I also have predictive text.
I must say, for this forum I did try others, like, Wingnut, Miles (nickname in high school, as I am quite tall) etc. but I suppose they were not original enough or too common, so, they were all taken. Never seen Wingnut or Miles posting anything though.
How did you come up with your Microlighters username?

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory - Flying is making moments, memories

I used to be Bad Nav.... standing joke for my dual cross country nav taking more than 5 hours because of headwinds in a Cheetah (oh, I was not lost!)
Then Morph branded me "The Stirrer" and gave me a wooden spoon to stir the pot.... The chaps at MISASA were so "afraid" of me, they got me onto the committee but it was after something that the well known Jim Davis said that made me change it to my real name. The thing is - I wont hide behind a pseudonym and will stand by what I say or do.... 'cause in the end, that's the way I am. The "don't pretend to is who you do not are" bit comes to mind - I am who I am

Pilots are never lost John...in worst cases we are "temporarily unsure of our position" ...after a few R&R's you not so scary mate.
With the added publicity here on my name origin...some of my flying buds have even started calling Maxine "Peg"
