Bulletjie,
It seems like there was nobody on the ground at Swatrkops taking pics!
Gerhard Burger pointed me to these 2 photos on Avcom. One happened to be me ! Note my lookout, Vlieg Beer, in the back seat.

Taken by Michael aka Great Dane on Avcom.

And who is "Toppie" ?

From the ground it looked awesome ## ##

I got goose bumps when I heard " the microlights are ready " over the P.A. system.

I tried to make a movie but was shaking so much you can hardly make out any thing --- so I have taken some frame grabs for you ## ## Quality is not so good but here goes

I will try and edit a movie and post it but be warn its going to make you ^?^

I think the photos are deceiving. There were a couple of guys who had trouble maintaining altitude in the propwash

And who is "Toppie" ?
It is my friend Lukas Haywood from Microland - his wife Heather as pax taking pictures.

Looking at the pictures of your experience I hate being in Burkina Faso!!!
Hope you guys enjoyed every second and realise how unique the opportunity was.

I was able to join on both previous flights Les organised to Swartkops but this major one I've sadly missed.

Fot hose wanting to know what it is like to fly into Waterkloof

Here with a video clip of my approach and it was something like this

http://youtu.be/UkGf15Fft94

ATC - "FLO please report left base 01"
Me - "FLO now left base 01"
ATC - "FLO cleared to land 01"
Me - "FLO on left base but still 3 miles out"
ATC - "FLO we have you visual, cleared 01"
Me - "FLO now on finals but it will still take a while" ## ## ## ## ##

You sort of don't know where to land with all that runway available.... ;-)
